Lovely hiking in all seasons!<\/h3>\n

The landscape of J\u00e4mtland H\u00e4rjedalen invites to be discovered. So there is a lot to do on foot. You will find hundreds of kilometres of marked hiking trails<\/a> here: from quiet day trips to challenging hikes. Who knows, you might spot
\none of the wild animals such as a moose, bear or reindeer. Fantastic fishing destination<\/h3>\n

What could be better than enjoying a home-caught fish on the barbecue at the end of the day? In Sweden, it can be done. The Hungesjon, and the many other lakes nearby, are rich in fish. Among other things, you can hook trout, perch, roach and pike here. However, you do need a fishing licence and certain rules apply to some fish. Canoeing or Suppen<\/h3>\n

J\u00e4mtland’s many beautiful and serene lakes invite you to go canoeing or supping. Gliding peacefully over the calm water, surrounded by vast forests and impressive mountain landscapes, is an experience you won’t soon forget. Paddle past remote islands and experience Sweden’s pristine nature.<\/p>\n

Along the way, you can stop at one of the many traditional grill huts, where you can enjoy a delicious fika – the Swedish tradition of a coffee break with something sweet to go with it. Take time to relax, breathe in the fresh air and enjoy local delicacies such as cinnamon roll (kanelbullar). The calm waters are perfect for beginners and experienced adventurers alike. The clear waters and many small beaches invite you to take a refreshing dip in summer. Jetties have been constructed in many places and with the possibility of literally taking a dip. The J\u00e4mtland H\u00e4rjedalen region is a walhalla for all kinds of wildlife in summer. While enjoying nature, it is fun and exciting to listen extra carefully and look around to see if you might spot a reindeer, moose, lynx or even a bear! Especially early in the morning and as night falls, you have a chance of seeing a wild animal.
